WHO IS URATA?

Dr. Urata is head of the Division of Plastic and Maxillofacial Surgery at CHLA and well renowned for his extensive knowledge in dentistry and cranium anatomy. He covered the hole in Lalia's head following her craniotomy and skull fracture. What makes him extra special is his empathy.  Lalia had a school field trip planned, but didn't have medical clearance to go. We don't know who looked sadder the day they both heard the news, Dr. Urata or Lalia. He jokingly even offered to go on the trip with her just so she could attend.
Since there was still 3 weeks before the field trip, Dr. Urata rearranged his schedule to squeeze Lalia in for one more check-up just days before the trip. He determined she was cleared to go and gave her the green light!
